John Young, in an Indianapolis garage started in 1945, started Young and Sons. After working in the garage for over 20 years, a larger space was purchased. After the company continued to gain success and grow, Young and Sons purchased a 60,000 square foot facility that it is today. Our company can handle almost any Cummins engine request locally or nationally.

At Young and Sons, we rebuild Cummins Engines with a strict process we follow to ensure all the necessary steps are used to provide you with the most reliable, high performance engine. All of our engines for sale meets OEM specifications. No matter what industry you work in, whether you need engines for leisure or work, we have an engine for sale to meet your needs.

Our rebuild process consists of cleaning, tearing down and machining all equipment. At Young and Sons, we replace parts, as needed with either OEM or aftermarket parts depending on the needs and desires of our customers.
Depending on what type of Cummins Engine your are looking for, our time frame of completion differs for every engine type. We usually can ship out an in stock engine in just a few days. If the engine you are interested in is not in stock, the process can take a week or a month to complete. This is all dependent on the needs of our customers and what the process involves. We are always willing to work with stricter time constraints if were able to. If there are any questions on our process, we are happy to answer any of them. We ship our products all over the country and world. If you do live locally, you are more then welcome to pick up your Cummins engine from our facility. If you chose to pick up your diesel engine from our location, please work with one of our staff members to ensure your engine is wrapped and ready to go once you arrive.
