Mack’s new MP line is the next step in the evolution of diesel engines. Mack Diesel’s new line brings major improvements in power and fuel economy while staying environmentally friendly. The new MP7 and MP8 engines have come a long way in simplifying engine maintenance and improving engine productivity. With their new two-speed coolant pump, both engines got a 5 percent fuel efficiency boost over older models. The MP8 model offers a turbo compounding system that allows the long distance drivers power increases without compromises in fuel efficiency.
Mack’s MP10 diesel engine is the most powerful engine that they have to offer. This engine has 16 liters with up to 605 horsepower and 2,060 pounds-feet of torque. This type of engine is best for heavy hauling and severe duty jobs. It is also certified to meet the US’07 emissions standards with its ultra low sulfur diesel fuel and diesel particulate filter.
