About the Caterpillar D333 Diesel Engine
One engine that we often get asked about is the Caterpillar D333. Originally manufactured from the 1960s to 1980s, the CAT D333 was known to be a very reliable engine. A predecessor of the 3304 engine, the CAT D333 was used in a range of machinery including construction equipment, power generators, and watercraft.
The Caterpillar D333 is an older model engine that remains in demand, even though it hasn’t been mass produced in years. We try to carry the CAT D333 as often as we can; our team knows that when something is good, it never goes out of style!
If you’re in the market for a Caterpillar D333 or other high-quality diesel engine, just give us a call at 317-263-0960 – we’d love to talk to you about your diesel engine needs.
Rebuilt Engines: Why They’re Your Best Choice
In order to meet the needs of all our customers, we gladly carry engines that are in new and used condition. Our expertise, however, is in rebuilding used diesel engines and offering them for sale. We believe that purchasing a reconditioned engine is the best choice you can make. Here’s why:
- Buying a Rebuilt Engine Gives You Performance and Savings
Once an engine has been rebuilt, it runs like new but without the high price tag. Purchasing a reconditioned diesel engine will cost a lot less than buying one in brand new condition.
Investing in a rebuilt engine is also a better option than buying a used engine. With a used engine, you may get the lower price tag, but you also will be sacrificing performance. If you want an affordable engine with a long life expectancy, then rebuilt is the best way to go.
- Rebuilt Engines Provide Better Fuel Economy vs. Used Engines
The inside of a diesel engine can become pretty nasty over time. All that build up in the engine means it’s running a lot less efficiently than it did when it was brand new.
When an engine is reconditioned, it’s stripped down to the bare block. All of the dirty, gummed up components are cleaned thoroughly before the engine is reassembled. If any of the parts are damaged or worn, they’re quickly replaced.
That means that the end result is a shiny like-new engine that will provide you with excellent fuel efficiency.
- A Reconditioned Engine is More Reliable Than Used
Being rebuilt from the block up is a good thing for an engine – with all of those new and refurbished parts, the engine will run like new. That means you won’t be needing nearly as many repairs as you would with a used engine.
- Rebuilding an Engine is an Environmentally-Friendly Option
When you think of diesel engines, helping the environment isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. But with a rebuilt engine, you can do a small part to protect the planet.
When you have an engine rebuilt instead of pulling it out of service completely, you’re continuing to use the materials instead of just sending them off to the scrapyard. That’s a definite win for the environment!
