After 20 years of working in the family garage, John purchased a 4,000 square foot facility, which was 100 times larger than where he began his business. Today, Young and Sons has graduated to a 60,000 square foot facility located in Indianapolis, IN. With this large of a facility, we can handle almost any diesel engine request nation and worldwide. At Young and Sons, we remanufacture engines to OEM specifications. Our diesel engine company performs all of the necessary steps to building the most reliable and high performance diesel engines. Our diesel mechanics build custom diesel engines to meet your needs and will work with you to provide you exactly what you need and for any industry. We offer short blocks, long blocks and complete reman engines. We also supply new surplus engines with low miles.
To remanufacture an engine, means to make it as close to new as we possibly can. All reman engines go through a tear down, cleaning and machining process, we replace parts as needed with either OEM or aftermarket parts depending on our customers needs and wants. The equipment is tested to ensure OEM standards are met, each engine is carefully inspected and measurement specifications are checked at the end of all processes. With our inspections and mechanics, your diesel engines will run with extreme horsepower and for years to come.
Time frame on completion of engines are subject to parts availability. Some engines are in stock and can be shipped within a day. And in case we don’t have the engine in stock we can either build the customers engine or can source the engine for the customer. Our rebuilt engines could take anywhere from 1 week to a month to complete the build process depending on the engine you are looking for. We work closely with our customers to ensure they are aware of the time frame and to keep the schedule they are maintaining as well.
